Rowing into the Record Books

The coast of Great Britain has some of the most dangerous currents and rock formations in the world, there are around 40,000 wrecks off the coast which highlights the dangers involved in rowing these waters. However, this May two army doctors are taking on the challenge to row round the entire coast of Great Britain, if they succeed they will be the first people ever to complete this awesome task and will have their names in the record books.

The two contenders are Nick Dennison and Hamish Reid, army doctors who reckon they can take on the high seas and win, they are doing this epic task for the benefit of three very worthy charities The Army Benevolent Fund, Help for Heroes and Toe in the Water. All of these charities have been set up to support and encourage service men and women and their families deal with the reality of injury and loss in the forces.
