Jackets an Essential Item
With the weather being so changeable it is important to have a good lightweight jacket that still provides warmth and protection from the elements. Henri Lloyd and Musto have great jackets out this year to keep you dry and stylish.
Henri Lloyd’s Fusion Jacket is ideal for this time of year, it is lightweight but it keeps out the wind and rain and keeps you warm. The fabric wicks moisture away from the body which means that you can rest assured that if you start to feel quite warm that you will remain dry and comfortable.

Offshore Sailing Jackets
When you venture away from the harbour the water and the weather can get significantly rougher and your clothes need to be made out of tougher stuff. One of the main things that picks up
outside the harbour walls is the wind so you need a jacket that can comfortably withstand a severe battering from the elements.
Gill’s OS2 Jacket is cut to comfortably fit a woman’s shape and offer a flattering cut with all the latest and necessary technology. The jacket has high visibility strips on it and a high visibility hood so it is ideal if the weather takes a turn for the worse or you are sailing in the evening. Wind proof, water proof and breathable this jacket has it all!
If you are looking for a jacket that has good face protection the Musto MPX Offshore Jacket has a great visor that will protect your face from the wind and water spraying into your face. The inner lining is warming and moisture wicking to ensure maximum comfort and the outer layer is wind and waterproof to keep you dry and warm.
Deck Shoes for Comfort and Style
It is always important to have a good pair of deck shoes when you are sailing because you need some grip to help you with your balance and to keep you safe whilst out on the water. They need to be comfortable because you will be wearing them for long periods of time, they also need to be waterproof for obvious reasons, with water coming over the deck of the boat and the British weather being what it is you will have water coming at you from all directions.
The Sebago Bala Deck Shoe is the ultimate from boat to yacht club shoe, its strong grip soles will mean you stay on your feet on the deck of the boat. The shape and suede upper mean that they are sophisticated enough to take you into the club without any trouble. It has the classic styling of a deck shoe the threaded rope gives them a distinct maritime look that is loved by many.
Musto have created a much more modern style deck shoe based on the shape of trainer the Match Deck Shoe. They have a bungee style lace that means you can easily slip them on and off without worrying about tripping over laces whilst on deck. The shoes have a drainage system in case they fill up with water when you are out sailing which is incredibly useful.
