The Crewsaver 275 Newton Manual Inflation Lifejacket is activated by the pull of a lanyard which sets off a CO2 canister. This means that the lifejacket will not go off accidently. The lifejacket takes five seconds to fully inflate and can also be inflated orally.

Included in the construction of this life jacket is a deck harness. This allows the user to be attached to the boat at all times via a safety line which will prevent the chance of being lost overboard. Not recommended for use with motorboats, where being towed along at high speed would be dangerous.

275 Newton lifejackets provide extra buoyancy and are designed for offshore sailing and extreme conditions where maximum protection is required. The chosen lifejacket for sailors wearing heavy gear.
