Seago Junior Automatic with Harness

This Junior Lifejacket is automatic with an integral harness and is suitable for weight ranges 20kg-40kg. The product is complete with ‘D’ ring and thigh straps included. The Harness option allows you to attach the child to the yacht with a safety line. This model is design to automatically inflate when the capsule is dissolved due to contact with water. Within 5 seconds, the firing mechanism is released, piercing the 33g gas cylinder and inflating the chamber within. Automatic Lifejackets are designed to inflate if you enter the water unconscious and are unable to manually inflate. A Seago inflated jacket will attempt to turn the body upright keeping the head above water. It can also be inflated as a manual version or orally.

New for 2007! Seago have stepped up the standard for safety at sea by making buoyancy even greater! Now every seago lifejacket has a buoyancy of 175 Newton’s, exceeding European requirements by 15%. All Lifejackets Manufactured by Seago are fully CE approved and conform to EN396 (1994) safety regulations. Models with Harness also conform to regulation EN1095.

Seago lifejackets are designed for easy fit, with toggles to attach to foul weather clothing. The reflective strip on the front cover is useful at night, and when the lifejacket inflates it produces a high visibility lung that has a reflective tap. Reflective materials are essential, especially for night sailing, as locating a man over-board is the first stage of rescue. Another essential feature is a Lifting becket, which is a grab loop for hoisting people out of the water. Manual and oral inflation is available on all models. With Harness models there is a Stainless steel ‘D’ ring that allows the user to attach a safety line.
